Success Stories: After using the JDC Technician Incentive Project, one of our first customers has reported a 25% increase in Gross Profit $ on copies generated between the first and fourth quarter. A record month was posted as well in aftermarket Gross Profits!! Another location reports: "With Jack's program the bonus is based on how well a tech does overall. The better they do the bigger the bonus. I don't have a problem with that at all. I tell my guys that I want them to make a big bonus, if they do well, the department is doing well. Over the past 5 months the machines are running better, the bonuses are going up, the response time has been 2.9 (down from 5.1), and the only ones complaining are the ones not doing their job" Parts Autoload Project: Just returned from a trip to implement the AutoLoad Parts Project for a large dealer. Began work on Monday and on Thursday we uploaded (no Keypunch!) their first Suggested Reorder PO to Kyocera Mita in 5 minutes and began restocking their Technicians in remote locations. A huge time savings was realized from setting up OMD to produce PO's to upload to the vendor instead of having to key in part numbers on the vendor's website. From this one piece alone I heard "You just paid for your trip!" Stay tuned for words from the dealer on the success of this project. As we approach our second year in business, I can't thank all of our friends, associates and most of all Customers enough for their support and encouragement. I have completed my term on the OMD User Group Board, but will remain active to help Carolyn Hackmann who was re-elected as Member at Large. I have also shifted my role on the OMD Customer Panel to that of Member at Large in order to keep abreast of developments and enhancements at OMD. JDC is gathering momentum now to continue with Service Managers University. Stay tuned for the next installments! Customer Comments: These comments have come in recently from our customers and may be of interest to you - I am proud to see the benefits of all our hard work on the system. It was very costly including the hardware and system upgrades (new OMD Server was installed) but the results are beginning to show now on our financials. So many of us are using OMD in a more proactive forward looking way to identify and create new opportunities. I am certain there are other areas of the system we will improve upon as we go forward. You are an excellent person to work with and I am glad to have you as our consultant of record. Thanks again. Jerry Carlise - CEO Business World, Little Rock, Arkansas Jack is all knowing’ when it comes to OMD… and a great asset to have your team. Tom Saliceti - VP of Service, DOCUmation San Antonio, Texas We have been very pleased with the results of implementing the parts reorder program. Per your request the following is a snap-shot of my service department size and the effects of the program on our P&L. 1. I have nine (9) active technicians in the field 2. We witnessed a significant decrease in our inventory levels (approx. 60% reduction in carstock cost) 3. Initially we had a significant amount of parts to write off due to non-usage (correcting the sins from the past). However, trends indicate that our future need to write off parts will be decrease due to the “dynamic” structure of ordering has been implemented. 4. We define an incomplete call as anything that has been rescheduled for a part or for additional time 5. We did not change the way in which we track our incompletes, we are comparing “apples to apples”. Gayland McNeill - Service Manager, Imagetek Office Systems, Arlington, Texas Anonymous: I learned quite a bit from YOU!!!! You certainly are a master at your craft and I can only hope that some day I can have a fraction of your knowledge. Hopefully I will see you again soon and I wish you the best prosperity from all the contacts you made there. (OMD Users Group 2006)
